Recently, two little girls have found mommy’s accessories stash, so I have been forced to relocate my jewelry into the top drawer of my dresser. I had been looking for a more suitable solution to my problem when I stumbled across this cute “Bling” jewelry tray at C. Wonder. I thought perhaps it would be perfect to catch some of the loose rings and things that might shuffle around inside the drawer.
One of the things that I love most about reading blogs (fashion and food blogs, in particular) is looking at the intricate details that are captured so beautifully by their authors and photographers. Green onions carefully sprinkled on chili or the strap of a purse carefully clutched by an adorned hand. Inspired by these types of photographs, I spent nap time today trying to capture my new trinket.
Halfway through shooting I realized my new tray could also double as a business card holder, which I didn’t realized I needed until now. But I love it. The colors and the jewelry paired perfectly with my clean gold foil logo and typography. This little tray may never find its way into my dresser drawer now!
After photographing for an hour (the gold foil is hard to capture crisply), I decided it would also make a great photo for my Kimberly FitzSimons website, which is desperately needing an update. I am still trying to figure out how to merge my new blog and future design services with my old business page.
