Yesterday afternoon a wave of motivation hit me and I found myself buried in my closet tossing old dry cleaner hangers out the door. For the next hour, I managed to fill two garbage bags full of clothes to bring to the Salvation Army. My rule for getting rid of items is two-fold: 1) if I haven’t worn it in the past year then it is unlikely that I will wear it at all and 2) if it doesn’t fit properly, it probably wont anytime soon.
As I was fall cleaning, I realized that there are some holes in my wardrobe that could be filled with some versatile basics. At the top of my shopping list: a pair of leopard pointed toe flats and an all-around chambray shirt.
